Mike Zecchino relocated from Rochester, NY to Estero in the year 2005, driven by his pursuit of higher education at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), which, at that time, boasted a modest enrollment of only 1,300 students. He graduated with a degree in Business Management, with a particular focus on Entrepreneurship in 2008. In 2012, he obtained his real estate license, marking the inception of his entrepreneurial endeavors. By 2016, Mike established Mike Z Rentals, a venture that has witnessed remarkable year-over-year growth. Presently, he expertly manages an extensive portfolio of nearly 100 short-term rental properties within the thriving Lee and Collier Counties. The annual reservations consistently surpass 1,000, facilitated by a dedicated team of six professionals. Additionally, they oversee approximately 25 annual rental properties, and their expansion continues.
In his personal life, Mike has been happily married since 2011, sharing a special journey with his wife, whom he met in fourth grade. Together, they are parents to two sons, with Luca and Nico. Their family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their daughter, Daniella. Travel is a shared passion, and Europe, in particular, holds a special place in their hearts. Destinations like Paris, Amsterdam, Athens, Santorini, Madrid, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Ireland, and many others have enriched their lives with unforgettable experiences. They live for experience and would rather travel over anything else.
Furthermore, Mike and his wife opened Bourne 2 Dance, a dance studio located in Bonita Springs, in 2011. The name pays homage to his wife's maiden name, "Bourne." While he humorously admits to having "two left feet," he contributes to the business's development lending his expertise to its growth. In the coming years, Mike will be directing his focus toward Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club. This extraordinary community left an indelible mark on his heart, serving as his initial introduction to the enchanting Southwestern Florida region.
